3 Barcelona players made it to the most valuable footballers list while only 1 Real Madrid superstar makes the list.
Thanks to CIES Football Observatory, who studied, analyzed and calculated the values of hundreds of footballers and revealed the list of top 100. The values are based on an econometric model by the CIES Football Observatory research team from the analysis of over 1,500 paid transfers since 2010. Values of all the world’s top players are based on several factors, including age, length of current contract, as well as performance-based stats.
The study revealed that Barcelona forward Neymar is the most valuable player in Europe at a staggering £216 million.
